Montana has the sixth least number of appraisers in the country with only 375 active and licensed appraisers.   • If your retroactive date is 8/1/2008 or later/after, please use this Montana self-rating application . Select your premium from the lower priced GROUP 1 table and send in with payment for same day coverage.
  • If your retroactive date is 7/31/2008 or earlier/before, please use this Montana application (select your premium and send in with payment for same day coverage).
  • If you need group coverage or you’ve had a claim please use this group application to obtain a quote; quotes take 2-5 business days.

Important: If you have expiring insurance in place, please include a copy of your current Declarations page to retain prior acts coverage. Also, if you included a PO Box for your address on the application, you will need to list a physical address as well (required by the underwriter.) A confirmation will be emailed within 24 hours if your application is received and correct. If not correct, you will be called immediately. If you do not receive confirmation after 24 hours, please call us (check email junk/spam first). If your current policy is expiring, please call to confirm immediately after sending. Your new Montana Appraisers Errors and Omissions insurance policy/declarations page will be emailed within 3-5 business days after payment has been processed. Coverage is NOT bound until a binder/declarations page is issued.

Montana Continuing Education

Montana Appraisers are required to take 28 hours of continuing education courses for renewal every 2 years. As part of those hours, The Appraisal Foundation’s version of the 7-Hour USPAP Update is required, and must be taken in a live classroom setting. CE Requirements are due by 3/31 of the renewing year.
