Course Details

The first four days are designed to help attendees prepare for either the Certified General Exam or the Appraisal Institute's® Comprehensive Exam*. The last two days are advanced income approach concepts intended just for those seeking the MAI designation.

Schedule - Both Course Offerings

  • Day 1 (Wednesday): Fundamentals, General Market Analysis, Highest & Best Use, and Math & Statistics

  • Day 2 (Thursday): Math & Statistics (continued), Land Valuation, & Cost Approach

  • Day 3 (Friday): Sales Comparison & Basic Income Concepts

  • Day 4 (Saturday): Basic Income (continued) & Intermediate Income Concepts Sunday – No Class

  • Day 5 (Monday): Advanced Income Concepts (for the AI Comprehensive Exam)

  • Day 6 (Tuesday): Advanced Income Diagnostics and Problem Solving (for the AI Comprehensive Exam)


Course Fee

$595 for Days 1-4 (or any part thereof)
$795 for Days 1-6 (or any combination of days that includes Days 5 and 6)

John Urubek, MAI, CCIM and Kerry Jorgensen, MAI have both taught appraisal courses for over 25 years and have helped thousands of appraisers be successful. Both have written courses and articles and have a broad understanding of all general appraisal topics.
