The Executive Director of Kentucky’s Real Estate Appraisal Board is Larry Disney. Kentucky was the first state to establish an AMC “Recovery Fund” under Mr. Disney’s leadership, a fund designed to help cover appraisers’ losses in the relating to nonpayment in the event of an AMC bankruptcy.

Kentucky Continuing Education for real estate appraisers must be completed every year by May 16. The required hours is 14, 7 of which must be the 7-Hour USPAP Update. There are no limitations in Kentucky as to how many hours of CE may be completed online.
